Title: Project Delivery Lead (Contract to Hire)
Job Summary: The Project Delivery Lead is a key member of the IT Project Delivery team focusing on large, strategic initiatives that impact multiple functional business areas. In this role, the associate will work with business partners to assess business needs and recommend solutions that align with the strategic initiatives. Perform project leadership role to deliver projects and enhancements in a matrixed organization that drive innovation, streamline business processes and deliver on business strategy.
Bachelor’s degree technical certifications, or related experience required
10 plus years of experience in project management & technology space required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role with strong background in IT project leadership
Minimum of 5 years of functional experience with one or more of the following:
Experience with agile project management methodology
Experience with S4/Hana a plus
Provide leadership on large, strategic projects and develop the framework for multiple workstreams. Oversee projects and enhancements that drive innovation, streamline business processes and deliver on business strategy.
Work with key project stakeholders, including business partners; IT service teams, PMO and/or external service providers to prioritize projects and to ensure that alignment on goals, objectives and expected results are achieved.
Lead large complex projects or enhancements by estimating task durations, identifying task dependencies, managing resource allocations & budgets and provide timely updates on project status, risks and issues.
Assist the Manager of IT Project Delivery to drive the creation of business and application roadmaps that link business strategies and goals to technology investments.
Facilitate requirements gathering tasks. Analyze requirements for system enhancements and modifications. Facilitate the documentation of business requirements. Research and analyze options; recommend solutions and write functional specifications, user stories, and additional documentation as required.
Create change request documents. Work collaboratively with the QA function during integration testing and software release.
Lead the investigation of software; document system requirements; help evaluate technologies and their capabilities; perform gap analysis between business needs and the functional application capabilities.
Act as a consultant to the business. Leverage IT teams and processes to achieve business strategies and drive value.
Partner and collaborate with the business and understand their needs, strategies and goals.
Point of contact for the business team for communication and management of SLAs for service disruptions. Additionally, point of contact for Application Support team to assist with meeting SLAs.
Coach and mentor other team members; provide constructive suggestions as to recommend training, work approach, processes and procedures. Actively seek opportunities for roles which provide career growth for Associates; serve as a resource and knowledge expert. Participate and provide input on the hiring and selection process.
