Seeking a Sr Software Engineer for our Client in Gaithersburg MD
Our platform is a combination of web applications, big data platforms, web crawlers, and much more. As an API focused Software Engineer you’ll have access to a wide range of technologies and influence how we build new solutions going forward.
Our organization needs a self-starter who is passionate about making a difference, working within team, and delivering high quality software.
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
4+ years of relevant coding experience
Experience with Python ( Java is a minus)
Python Packages: Scrapy, requests, bs4, re, selenium, flask (Django/React is a plus)
Knowledge of common machine learning concepts, frameworks and libraries
Experience with Cloud platforms such as GCP/AWS/OCI
Experience working with event-driven/streaming architectures
Experience building APIs
Experience with AWS/Docker/CI Tools
Experience with Monitoring (Elasticsearch/Datadog)
Experience with Github for code versioning
Experience working with large, sensitive data sets is a plus
Experience in configuration management, service deployment, and system administration using modern DevOps techniques like Configuration as Code
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Eagerness to work in a sustainably paced, collaborative environment
Some of the things you’ll be doing:
? Write software in Java, Python for creating, extending and maintaining microservices and API frameworks
? Build stable, scalable, and secure backend services
? Build software deployment pipelines using CI/CD best practices
? Be an active participant in the SCRUM software development process by working closely with other team members to deliver working software
