Senior Manager, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and AI

General Summary

The Senior Manager, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and AI is a strategic technology leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing enterprise data platforms. This role integrates data warehousing, business intelligence, and AI/ML capabilities to support advanced analytics, operational performance, and innovation. The manager oversees technical delivery, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures alignment with governance, compliance, and security standards across the organization.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Data Warehouse Architecture & Engineering

  • Define enterprise data warehouse architecture including ETL processes, ODS, EDW, and Data Marts.
  • Establish standards for data models, load strategies, schemas, and data structures.
  • Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Informatica.
  • Oversee database administration including schema design, indexing, and performance optimization across platforms such as Snowflake and SQL Server.

Business Intelligence Strategy

  • Design and deliver dashboards, analytics solutions, and semantic models using tools such as Power BI and Fabric.
  • Establish metadata and data consistency standards across BI platforms.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and enable self-service analytics.

AI/ML Enablement

  • Lead AI/ML model development, deployment, and MLOps practices using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Azure AI services.
  • Integrate predictive analytics and generative AI capabilities into business workflows.
  • Drive innovation through use cases such as forecasting, customer insights, and operational analytics.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data security, incident management, and disaster recovery standards.
  • Implement data governance frameworks including cataloging, data quality, and master data management.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor teams of data engineers, BI developers, and data scientists.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and leadership to align solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Lead vendor partnerships and oversee technology cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards related to maintenance, security monitoring, asset management, change management, incident response, vulnerability management, and continuity planning.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years of BI experience and 10 years of overall IT experience.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
  • Expertise in ETL, ODS, data modeling, BI technologies, and AI/ML frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of business data and enterprise systems such as ERP platforms.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Role requires frequent sitting, talking, and listening.
  • Occasional walking and use of hands for operating tools or controls.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.
