Project Scope & Context
This role will sit within the Project Management Office (PMO). The Junior PM will act as a pivotal coordinator across the university’s project portfolios, ensuring that technology implementations are executed at the highest quality. A key component of this role involves navigating the Technology Request and internal intake processes to ensure technology needs are evaluated and met.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and track project activities to ensure successful implementation and high-quality deliverables for university clients.
- Process, evaluate, and coordinate Technology Requests and evaluation processes within the project portfolios.
- Work in close collaboration with product-specific Managers, Directors, external vendors, and stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Assist other Project Managers on their respective projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO’s tools and processes.
- Report directly into the IT PMO while maintaining transparency across the entire portfolio.
Logistics & Candidate Alignment
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm EST.
- Experience Level: Junior-level (ideal for those with 1–3 years of experience who can work collaboratively in an academic IT environment).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple intake processes, and a collaborative mindset for a multi-stakeholder environment.
