Information Desktop Engineer (Level 3+)
We are seeking an experienced Information Desktop Engineer to support and maintain enterprise end-user computing infrastructure. This role focuses on managing desktop environments, securing endpoints, administering identity and device management systems, and serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. The ideal candidate will bring strong infrastructure knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to support both operational needs and technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert for end-user computing infrastructure
• Manage and maintain Active Directory environments and Group Policy configurations
• Oversee endpoint security platforms and patch management systems
• Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms and device compliance policies
• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues beyond standard help desk support
• Lead desktop infrastructure initiatives and technical improvement projects
• Mentor junior technical staff and support teams
• Support directory services including Active Directory administration and DHCP reservations
• Enforce Group Policy configurations and maintain endpoint compliance standards
• Manage centralized patching processes and system updates across endpoints
Core Focus Areas
• Manage and secure desktop infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, patching, and endpoint security
• Provide Level 3 escalation support and advanced troubleshooting for complex technical issues
• Lead infrastructure-related projects and mentor junior IT staff
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5+ years of professional IT experience
• Strong experience administering Active Directory environments
• Experience with enterprise patch management systems
• Familiarity with endpoint security platforms and compliance tools
• Experience administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
• Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
