Sr. Technical Business Analyst – Fixed Income Trading Systems
Location: New York, NY (Onsite Day 1, Hybrid – 3 Days in Office)
Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Fixed Income Trading Systems to join a high-performing technology team. This role requires deep domain knowledge in trading systems, credit markets, and data management, as well as strong technical skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and related tools.
The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between business users, developers, and support teams, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective trading technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to enhance Fixed Income E-Trading platforms with a focus on Credit trading.
- Work with cloud data teams on migration and integration projects.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive business and functional requirement documentation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Coordinate with application support teams for production changes.
- Maintain documentation in platforms such as SharePoint or Confluence.
- Coordinate QA testing cycles and production deployments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in Fixed Income technology.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income Trading Systems, particularly in client-to-dealer environments.
- Understanding of Rates, Credits, and Mortgages trading products.
- Proficiency with database tools (AquaData Studio, SQL Developer, etc.).
- Strong ANSI SQL and PL/SQL skills (Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase).
- Familiarity with bond pricing, risk, and P&L systems.
- Understanding of core trading system data (Statics, Trades, RFQs, Pricing, Axes, Market Data).
- Exposure to Unix environments and AWS (preferred).
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of market abuse regulations and compliance best practices.
- Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in cloud environments and data migration projects.
