Talend Engineer
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines
- Use Talend to Extract, Transform, and Load data between databases, data warehouses, cloud platforms, and applications.
- Integrate data from many sources
- Pull data from APIs, flat files (CSV, XML, JSON), on-prem databases, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce, etc.).
- Data transformation & cleansing
- Clean data, standardize formats, handle duplicates, validate rules, and make sure data is accurate and usable.
- Develop jobs & workflows in Talend Studio
- Create and optimize Talend jobs, contexts, components, and reusable frameworks. Design, development, implementation, unit testing, troubleshooting, and support of ETL process using Talend and other inhouse tools.
- SQL query design and implementation.
- SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization by Indexing, Partitioning and De-normalization.
- Migration
- Interaction with stakeholders in order to gather and document requirements.

1. Platform Setup & Maintenance
• Install, configure, and upgrade Talend (Cloud or On-Prem)
• Manage Talend Admin Center (TAC), Management Console, and runtime engines
• Handle patches, version upgrades, and environment stability
2. User & Security Management
• Create and manage users, roles, and permissions
• Integrate with SSO/LDAP/Active Directory
• Enforce security policies and access controls
3. Job Execution & Monitoring
• Schedule Talend jobs and monitor executions
• Troubleshoot failed jobs and performance issues
• Manage logs, alerts, and job recovery
4. Environment Management
• Maintain dev / test / prod environments
• Promote jobs across environments safely
• Manage configuration variables and contexts
5. Performance & Reliability
• Tune JVM and runtime performance
• Monitor memory, CPU, and job throughput
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
6. Infrastructure Coordination
• Work with cloud or infrastructure teams (AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Manage runtime engines, containers, and networking dependencies
7. Governance & Compliance
• Enforce naming standards and deployment processes
• Support audits with logs and access records
