Tech Engineering Manager

Location: New York City (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Our client is seeking a Tech Engineering Manager with a strong background in Python development and cloud-based engineering. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and leadership experience to guide a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a technical team while remaining hands-on in development.
  • Drive engineering best practices across cloud-native platforms.
  • Collaborate with risk operations and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Python programming expertise.
  • Solid experience with AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, EC2.
  • Proven experience leading development teams.
  • Knowledge of data platforms.
  • Risk operations domain experience is a must.
  • 10+ years of total IT experience (must have).

Nice to Have (can be trained if missing):

  • Risk Tech, Equities, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Regulatory domain knowledge.
