uncertainty and rapid technological change is to broaden one's
skills set. Doing so via a technical certification or degree,
however, can be costly. That's why, in this blog post, we've listed
both free and affordable online course sites where you can learn
new topics, gain new skills, and keep abreast of developing trends
within the IT industry.Read

Mark
Businsky
At PSCI, our IT consultants are second to none. As an integral part
of the success of our team the work they do helps not only PSCI but
more importantly helps our clients persevere and prosper. That's
why we like to place the focus on them!
In this month's Fast Five, we shine the spotlight on Mark Businsky!
Let's take a moment to learn more about
him.
1. Years and projects worked on
at PSCI?
I started with PSCI September 2018 and have been working with the
Delaware Division of Libraries as their HelpDesk Manager. I also
manage the remote deployment of Apple devices/computers (mostly iOS
devices) for use at the libraries. I'm involved in some of the
Emerging Technologies initiatives such as VR, Drone programs, and
evaluation of other new and emerging
technologies.
2. What was your first paying
job?
Newspaper delivery. Yes, I rode a bike and threw the physical paper
up to the door.
3. Favorite weekend
hobby?
Photography - favorites are landscape, wildlife, candid, and
street.
4. If you could anywhere in the
world on vacation, where would you
go?
Russia - love the global
politics.
5. What separates PSCI from
other consulting firms you've worked
with?
PSCI treats their consultants more as
valuable employees than other firms that I've worked
with.

After 3 full months of
quarantine, and working from home, the PSCI offices are reopening!
While not mandated, PSCI staff members can now return to the office
on a flexible, rotating schedule.
While our offices have natural social distancing barriers already
in place (each staff member has their own office), there are
additional precautions we will be taking, such
as:
Hand sanitizer dispensers have been affixed to the walls throughout
the office
2 air purifiers have been added to office hallways
Masks, for both staff and visitors, are required in common
areas
A deep cleaning of the office has taken place, which included the
cleaning of all surface areas as well as carpet and fabric
sanitization
Office Administrator, Andrea Lightle, has been assigned her own
office - but don't worry, her office desk call bell remains!
As we
return to the office, we want to assure you that your health and
safety is our top priority. To ensure safety, our building has also
designated new guidelines they are asking each tenant and visitor
to follow. These include rules on traffic flow (stair towers are
marked as either "Up" or "Down" and exterior building doors are
marked either "Entrance" or "Exit"), elevator access, and mandatory
use of PPE, such as masks and/or gloves.
While this
is not a full return to normal, daylight is in
sight!
Retirement on the
Brain
PSCI's 401k
provider, The Standard, produces Retirement on the Brain seminars
to help individuals improve their retirement readiness - and we've
added them to our website!
