Michael Sandler

This month we shine the spotlight on Michael Sandler! Michael works as a Sr. Systems Engineer for the State of Delaware's Department of Technology and Information and amongst many other things he is responsible for designing, building, and supporting server environments.

Let's take a moment to learn more about him in this month's Fast Five.

Years and projects worked on at PSCI? I have worked at PSCI since 2010 and have been with the Department of Technology and Information at the State of Delaware (DTI to its friends).
What was your first paying job? When I was 12 years old I was hired as a programmer to write software that programmed special watches by flashing the monitor.
Favorite weekend hobby? Anything with good friends. I have memberships to most of the local botanical gardens and love strolling through them.
What would people be surprised to learn about you? The more you know about me the less surprised you are about everything. I have a laser cutter in my living room. I also make my own bacon; I start from pork belly and end up with bacon that is better than anything you get in the store.
What separates PSCI from other consulting firms you've worked with? If I had to put a label to it, it would be the personal connection. Every time I talk to Patricia Brittingham or Ken Hoffmann it is always pleasant and they know and remember who I am. I have worked for consulting companies where I was just a number, PSCI is different.
