Senior Systems Engineer

Our client in Philadelphia is seeking a Systems Engineer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications. This is an initial 12-month contract.

Holding a share of just under 73%, Microsoft Windows is the dominant desktop operating system worldwide. Most, however, are unaware of the many different tricks and shortcuts designed to help you better navigate the operating system and save you time.

Listed below are a handful of such tricks.

1. Shift + Windows Key + S lets you draw a shape over a part of the screen and screenshot just that selected part.

2. Use Ctrl + Shift + T in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE) to open the last tab you have closed.

3. Ctrl + Alt + Tab brings up an Alt + Tab task switcher that doesn't disappear when you let go of the Alt key.

4. Windows + L locks your screen, Windows + D brings you directly to the desktop, Windows + P launches the projector menu, and Windows + R launches the run terminal.

5. To search for specific words or phrases on a webpage, F3 works the same as Ctrl + F.

6. Pressing F2 while a file is selected will let you rename it.

Below is a roundup of PSCI news, recent changes, and dates to keep in mind.

Healthcare

PSCI has changed healthcare providers, switching to Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware. All plan members should have previously been notified but if not, please contact HR.
In addition, PSCI is now offering voluntary benefits provided through Colonial Life.

Return to Office

PSCI's return-to-office date has been pushed back to October 1. This date, however, is still subject to change.
