are so popular. Including a headshot on your resume, however, is
not advised. According to most career experts, doing so is
unnecessary at best, and can be detrimental at worst. This blog

Kathy
Szczesny
The work PSCI consultants are able to accomplish helps not only us
but more importantly our clients persevere and prosper. That's why
we like to focus on them. This month, we shine the spotlight on one
of our latest hires, Kathy Szczesny! Kathy is a
Front-End/WordPress Developer currently on contract with the
Delaware Government Information Center.
Let's take a moment to learn more about her in this month's
Fast Five.
1. What was your first paying
job?
My first paying job was as a Dishwasher/Bus Girl at Eli Family
Restaurant in Ohio.
2. Favorite weekend
hobby?
Adding to my family tree on ancestry.com.
3. What was your favorite TV
show when growing up?
My favorite TV show when growing up was Eight is
Enough.
4. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would
you go?
New Zealand
5. What separates PSCI from
other consulting firms you've worked
with?
Trust. I've declined to work with other
consulting firms because they treated me like a commodity and not a
human being. PSCI from the beginning established a foundation of
trust which made me feel confident that I was joining a team of
professionals who cared and who had my best interest at
heart.
In case you missed them, check out
these recent top reads from publications across the
industry.

Twitter to stay in-the-know about the latest trends and
resources.
We
understand how quickly schedules can fill up, that's why we wanted
to give you plenty of notice for events we'll be sponsoring
(in-person!) this Fall, so that you can mark your calendars.
On Thursday, September 30, we'll be sponsors at the
Delaware Public Purchasing Association Conference and Vendor
Expo in Wilmington, DE. This event promises an excellent
opportunity to network with procurement professionals from
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC, and
Virginia.
Then, on Thursday,
October 28, we'll once again be sponsoring the
Secure Delaware 2021 Conference at the Chase Center on the
Riverfront, in Wilmington, DE. Here, attendees can meet, network
with, and learn from top cybersecurity experts.
We'll be sure to pass along additional information as these events
get closer.
A Spotlight on Mental
Health
PSCI utilizes the
services of Creative Benefits to assist with the intricacies of
benefits administration. As part of their outreach, they've put
forth a Mental Health Campaign to increase mental health
awareness and provide mental health education.
We are using this space to deliver those campaigns to you!
