PSCI: The Fast Five

Matthew Kiamue
This month we shine the spotlight on Matthew Kiamue! As a Sr. Desktop Support Engineer on assignment with Philadelphia Energy Solutions, Matthew provides senior-level support as well as upgrade and migration assistance throughout various PES locations in the Philadelphia region.

Let's take a moment to learn more about him in this month's Fast Five:

  1. Years and projects worked on at PSCI? 3 years with PSCI and the project I'm working on is for developing an IT Support Inventory Database; code name "iTrack."
  2. Last book read? Leadership by the Book: Lessons from Every Book of the Bible by Dr. Brent Garrison.
  3. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? I'd visit Israel (Tel Aviv-Yafo) and Rome (Vatican City).
  4. What would people be surprised to learn about you? Not only am I adept at desktop support but I'm also a dynamic HTML website developer and am proficient at site management.
  5. What separates PSCI from other consulting firms you've worked with? PSCI provides sick leave days to contractors; they provide health insurance coverage and benefits while with other firms one must buy their own insurance through Healthcare.gov; they provide 50% match-up contribution to one 401k while others will not even match-up or contribute; they pay for approved overtime; they provide 5% increase in numerations (pay rate) based on recommendations from companies servicing; they always keep you informed about changes and benefits for employees; and they periodically check in on staff progress reports and are always open to one-on-one dialogue with staff to help improve better working relationships.

PSCI: The Latest

Technology Forum of Delaware
On Wednesday, May 15, members of the PSCI staff, including HR Director Patricia Brittingham, Sr. Business Director Ken Hoffmann (a Technology Forum board member), Marketing Manager Patrick O'Neill and Office Administrator Andrea Lightle took in the 5th annual Technologies to Watch Showcase.

The event, put on by the Technology Forum of Delaware, and hosted by Young Conaway law firm, was a showcase of creative tech ideas individuals and companies located in and around Delaware are working on.

Among them were exhibits on Bitcoin, biosensors for early detection of plant stressors, artificial intelligence, cloud based technologies, collaborative ride sharing, and more! Click here for a full list of exhibitors.

The event was a lot of fun and quite informative. We look forward to attending again next year!
