This event is for beginners and for those interested in what a career in tech would look like. The talk covers the different ways individuals can break into tech and outlines the pros and cons of all the options within the local tech community. Central Pennsylvania Open Source Conference

When: Saturday, September 21

Where: Lancaster, PA

The Central Pennsylvania Open Source Conference (CPOSC) is a one-day technical conference for open source users and developers. Presentations and sessions cover all aspects of open source, with talks ranging from novice to expert skill levels that also feature case studies, best practices, code-alongs and more. Register to spend the day meeting with and learning from your technology peers.

Secure Delaware 2019 Cyber Workshop

Where: Wilmington, DE

The Secure Delaware Cyber Workshop is an annual event that’s celebrating its 10th year! This workshop provides cyber security training for Delaware’s citizens, business employees, students, and government employees – though all are welcome. Presentations take place in large group settings as well as in smaller group break out sessions (depending on topic and skill level).

Topics this year will include Defense/Protection Strategies, Cyber Security Innovations, Breach Case Studies, Legal Implications, Security in the Cloud, and Cyber Threats of the Future. Here, opportunities will be available to share information and collaborate across all lines of government, business, and citizens, with the goal of strengthening readiness and response posture.

Devopsdays Philadelphia

When: Tuesday, October 22 – Wednesday, October 23

Where: Philadelphia, PA

Devopsdays is a worldwide series of technical conferences covering topics of software development, IT infrastructure operations, and the intersection between them. Each event is run by volunteers from the local area – in this case, the Philadelphia region.

Most devopsdays events feature a combination of curated talks and self-organized open space content. Topics often include automation, testing, security, and organizational culture.

Where: Malvern, PA

Tech360 is the Philadelphia suburbs premiere innovative business technology conference. It’s an annual full day tech experience featuring tech education, leadership, and innovation. TechBash 2019

When: Tuesday, November 12 – Friday, November 15

Where: Pocono Manor, PA

TechBash is a conference focused on web, cloud, DevOps, architecture, industry best practices, soft skills, and much more. Led by developers for developers, this event provides 3 full days of keynotes and breakout sessions and offers an optional fourth day of deep-dive workshops. Spanning multiple days, social events and a family day are also offered, which is great because the conference is hosted at the largest indoor waterpark in the country!
