Senior Data Specialist – Supply Chain Analytics

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Specialist – Supply Chain Analytics to lead the development of advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions that improve end-to-end supply chain performance. This role will partner with cross-functional business and technology teams to centralize data, automate reporting, and deliver meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with business acumen and enjoys solving complex operational challenges through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable supply chain insights
- Analyze operational performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Build and automate reporting processes using business intelligence platforms
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to centralize, integrate, and improve data quality across multiple data sources
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance reporting for vendors and operational teams
- Create predictive and diagnostic analyses to support operational planning and decision making
- Perform complex SQL queries and data analysis across large datasets
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations through effective storytelling and visualization
- Support forecasting, vendor performance analysis, inventory management, transportation analytics, and operational reporting
- Collaborate across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, IT, and other business units to improve processes and leverage data for continuous improvement
- Lead analytics initiatives and support the development of best practices for reporting and business intelligence
- Train business users on reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics capabilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations, logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or business intelligence
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Experience with Business Intelligence platforms and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Experience with Python or other analytical programming languages
- Strong understanding of descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics
- Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with the ability to explain complex data to business stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with ERP systems and enterprise data environments
- Experience with supply chain control towers or operational performance platforms
- Knowledge of vendor performance management, inventory optimization, transportation analytics, and logistics operations
- Experience with automation, data integration, and process improvement initiatives
