Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Specialist – Supply Chain Analytics to lead the development of advanced analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions that optimize end-to-end supply chain performance. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to centralize data, automate reporting, and deliver actionable insights that improve forecasting, inventory management, transportation, and vendor performance. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable business insights.
- Analyze operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop and automate reporting solutions using business intelligence platforms.
- Partner with business and IT teams to centralize, integrate, and improve data quality across multiple enterprise systems.
- Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and executive-level reporting.
- Perform advanced SQL queries and analyze large, complex datasets.
- Develop predictive and diagnostic analytics to support operational planning and strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Support analytics initiatives related to forecasting, inventory management, transportation, logistics, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and IT to improve business processes through data-driven solutions.
- Establish reporting and business intelligence best practices.
- Train end users on reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, business intelligence, logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience analyzing large, complex datasets.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Experience with Python or another analytical programming language.
- Strong understanding of descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with ERP systems and enterprise data environments.
- Experience with supply chain control towers or operational performance platforms.
- Knowledge of inventory optimization, transportation analytics, logistics operations, and vendor performance management.
- Experience with data integration, automation, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
