Product Specialist IV – Traffic Management Systems

Hybrid | Relocation Required | Long-Term Contract

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Product Specialist IV to join a collaborative development team supporting a mission-critical Traffic Management Center operating 24/7. This role is ideal for a full-stack developer who enjoys working across the entire software development lifecycle, partnering with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions supporting statewide transportation operations.

The successful candidate will participate in application design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support while helping maintain systems that integrate with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, and candidates must be willing to relocate prior to the start of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather and refine requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and support REST APIs and real-time web applications.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and implement technical solutions.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, business users, and IT teams.
  • Create technical documentation and assist with user training.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application design and software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • JSON
    • AJAX
    • REST APIs
    • WebSockets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

  • Hybrid schedule (alternating weeks with 2–3 days onsite).
